Puesto

The margarita-obsessed, take note: Puesto offers a rotating Mercado Margarita of the Month. For July, it’s a Fruit Cart Margarita, composed of Olmeca Altos Tequila Reposado (lightly sweet and citric, with notes of vanilla and wood, it’s made from 100 percent blue agaves grown in the highlands of Jalisco), mango, pineapple, cucumber, watermelon and fresh lime juice. Watch the bartenders work the supercool hydraulic shelves that can be raised and lowered to meet their every bottle need. 2752 Augustine Drive, Ste. 110, Santa Clara

Porta Blu
Roque Medina heads the food and beverage program at Porta Blu, the recently opened, sleek Mediterranean restaurant in the new Hotel Nia. In addition to curating a selection of craft beers and 200-plus wines, Medina oversees a specialty cocktail menu that emphasizes fresh ingredients, innovative flavors and seasonality. The signature offering is the Nia Copita—a frothy blend of egg white, mezcal, grapefruit shrub, simple syrup and lemon.
200 Independence Drive, Menlo Park

Honcho
Sangria is always on the menu at Honcho, which specializes in low-proof cocktails. During the summer, it’s a white sparkler version (white wine, local dry cider, farmers market oranges and strawberries, with a float of brut cava and mint garnish over ice). Other drinks also rotate through, like the new Pineapple Bling (oloroso sherry, pineapple juice and fresh lime shaken and served with a float of brut cava and a dash of angostura bitters).
